About the piece:
Johannes Brahms’ “Ein Deutsches Requiem,” commonly known as the German Requiem, is a monumental choral and orchestral composition that stands as one of the most significant works in the Romantic choral repertoire. Unlike traditional lithurgical Requiems, Brahms chose texts from the German Luther Bible, creating a work that speaks to the ups and downs of life and the universal quest for comfort. This piece invites you to reflect on the beauty of life, offering a sense of peace and reassurance that harmonizes seamlessly with the Easter celebration.
